This plastic, wax-coated DEEP frame is bright green for easy identification in the hive. After bees draw the comb out, simply remove the frame and freeze it for 24 hours, feed it to your chickens, or give your backyard birds a special treat! (If feeding to your chickens or the birds, be sure to remove it from their reach once the larvae is removed. If freezing, allow to thaw before re-installing into your hive.) Purchasing two frames per hive. allows you to keep one in the hive while the other is removed. Made in USA. This is priced per individual frame. Buy more and save!
WARNING: For effective varroa management, the frames must be removed after 21 days! Leaving the frame for longer creates an environment where varroa larvae can thrive and mite populations will increase.
